Last week, Great Howarth School supported the ‘Jeans for Genes’ campaign by wearing denim in exchange for donations to this important cause.
The Jeans for Genes campaign raises awareness of the daily challenges faced by individuals living with genetic conditions and funds projects that make a real difference in their lives. It also brings together the genetic condition community to highlight key issues, shine a light on the work of dedicated organisations, and celebrate the achievements of those living with genetic conditions.
As part of the fundraising efforts, the school organised a fun sweepstake, where participants added a wacky item of clothing to their outfits. These creative additions included a snorkel and flippers, angel wings, and a Hawaiian shirt.
In total, the school raised an impressive £108.45 for the charity, a contribution everyone is incredibly proud of.
