Oak Class took part in an exciting range of activities to celebrate National Number Day! The day kicked off with the fantastic “Build a Bot” challenge, where students honed their skills in subitising through a fun dot-to-dot activity. They enjoyed counting in multiples of two, making mathematics both lively and engaging.
Moreover, the students explored the important concept of saving, learning how to manage their resources wisely. The creativity continued as they investigated tessellation using numicon to design vibrant flowerbeds, demonstrating their artistic flair alongside mathematical understanding.
Both staff and students donned non-uniform attire featuring numbers! Their fabulous outfits were showcased in a whole school assembly, turning our celebration into a colourful spectacle. It was a day filled with learning and creativity, highlighting the fun side of mathematics!
