Today, we had a brilliant assembly led by our Careers Lead, Emma, and our Assistant Head Teacher, David. They kicked things off with an engaging presentation focused on the often-overlooked topic of young carers.
You could really feel the engagement in the room as they shared powerful stories and insights about the responsibilities that many young people take on at home.
Emma’s demonstrated a passion for raising awareness about this issue, and David’s knack for storytelling kept everyone captivated. They highlighted the challenges that young carers face, along with the essential support available to them. As the assembly progressed, students were encouraged to think about how they can lend a hand within their own communities.

All in all, it was not just informative but also incredibly uplifting! We left feeling inspired, and it sparked some meaningful conversations around the school. Pupils finished with their individual celebration of achievements.
Well done, Emma and David and all of our wonderful young people!
