OUR HEAL 1-1 Teaching initiative is looking for a SENCO.

We are looking for an inspirational SENCO to join out HEAL SLT team.

This job role is mainly Work from Home, however it will include minimal travel around the Midlands, Cheshire and Gloucester area.

Our HEAL programme aims to support and engage young people who struggle to maintain attendance and learning in the school environment.

We design and deliver short-term, personalised learning programmes nationally - a combination of direct home tutoring, supplemented with online learning for pupils aged 5-19.

HEAL tutors specialise in using trauma-informed approaches to re-engage students who have lost their love of learning and are highly effective in restoring students' faith in education.

HEAL offers flexible and bespoke timetables to ensure that sessions are tailored to individual learning and developmental needs. With our broad but balanced curriculum across all Key Stages, we enable pupils to pursue both academic and vocational paths to help them grow and achieve.

The successful applicants will need:

  • SENCO Qualification or be close to completing
  • Must have QTS
  • Experience working as a SENDCo

  • You will have a passion for ensuring all young people succeed.
  • Experience of working effectively with local authorities
  • Be able to work collaboratively within a supportive, committed, and successful staff team.
  • Have high aspirations for yourself and for others, and a commitment to further development.
  • Have a robust understanding of SEND Code of practice
  • An understanding of SEMH education and how to support the additional needs associated with SEMH pupils.
