Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Head Teacher at our Olympus Academy in Croydon.
As an Assistant Head you will be responsible for a variety of SLT duties including behaviour management and quality of Education with around 40% of your working day teaching.
Olympus is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in South Croydon, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11-19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs.
Olympus school is in a quiet area on the edge of ancient woodland, providing the ideal environment for our students to learn and achieve. We have co-regulation rooms on both floors, a sensory activity room, break out classroom, library, science laboratory, computer room and one to one rooms.
Our pathways provision provides students with a personalised curriculum, which includes English, Maths, PSHE and Work Skills. Many of our students receive staff support to attend college courses or work experience of their choice for part of their week, and our staff work to develop our students' independence in attending these courses.
At Horizon Care and Education, our Assistant Head will be supported by our Director of Curriculum, Headteachers, Operational Directors and the Managing Director of Education Services as well as our extensive therapeutic team.
